Published by March 27th, 2008 in zombies, technology, Video Games, Nintendo and Reviews. 5 CommentsHey whats up? It’s been real cool having you staying at my house the past couple of weeks. I can’t believe we hung out for like, six hours on Saturday. It was nuts.
I hope you don’t get creeped out by me wanting to spend so much time with you recently. I know I just met you not to long ago but, well, I feel like we have something special together. I mean, I think about you when I’m at work and can’t wait to get home to see you. Like last night, when my buddies and I were all taking turns playing with you and you didn’t seem to mind… It was really cool. You even let us do some stuff to you I didn’t know you could do before.
I think that’s why I like you so much Smash Brothers Brawl. You’re so versitile. I can be with you for hours and it’s never the same thing. It’s like you know EXACTLY what I want. You’ve made my Wii VERY happy.
Rock Band!
Published by November 26th, 2007 in Fun, Advertising, Video Games, Design, X Box and Reviews. 5 Comments
Over this holiday weekend, my roommate picked up the best party game I have ever played. It’s called Rock Band, and makes Guitar Hero look like an idiot.
Rock band is a FOUR player game where you and three friends actually start a band, each with a different instrument. If you buy the bundle pack, which my roommate did, you get the game, a microphone, a guitar, and a drum set. If you have an extra guitar laying around from guitar hero, you also can have someone play the bass. So.. to re-iterate:
A singer
A guitar player
A bass player
A drummer
All playing at the same time on the same screen. Can you imagine how amazing this is? The ONLY downfall about this game is that hours will go by and you won’t even realize it. My friends and I played this game from about 10Pm to 3am Saturday night and didn’t even realize it.
Friday Shenanigans
Published by October 26th, 2007 in Art, Fun, culture, street art, Advertising, Video Games, Design and Artist. 2 CommentsWell, it’s Friday once again. That means I’ll write about all the stuff I thought about over the week, but couldn’t flesh out into a full blog post, or ”Blost” as I call them.

One of my favorite artists, Buff Monster has a brand new website with actual content. This is alot better than the old site, which was just a girl’s boob. www.buffmonster.com
Dui Checkpoints - If you’re like me, a citizen of Pittsburgh, then you best watch your step all this weekend. The police decided to commemorate the one year anniversity of a police officer’s death by a D.U.I. Driver. There’s going to be checkpoints EVERYWHERE.
Wreck - On Tuesday night I’m driving my brand new car home, which I haven’t even had for 60 days yet, when some teenage kid thought it would be loads of fun to slam into the back of me. Awesome
AddictingGames.com - This site is a great way to waste days at a time. They have so many games of all different kinds of genres. Although they’re not as INTENSE as the flash games I’ve made in the past, they’re still a hoot. My favorite is called “Pac X Con” which is kind of like the old game JezzBall. If you don’t know what that is, you better get hip quick FOR REAL.
Painting Sold - Alot of people are deciding they want to be awesome for the first time in their life and visit my art website, mattgondek.com. Two people even took the plunge into a lifetime of amazingness and purchased paintings off me. Don’t you want to be held with such high regard too?
Blake ZOmbies =-O
Published by October 25th, 2007 in culture, lifestyle, zombies, Redneck, PS3, Video Games, Design and X Box. 2 CommentsResident Evil is awesome. When the 2nd one came out, it was the reason I bought a playstation. I really don’t play /like/ or follow alot of games, but series still has me excited.
That’s why when I downloaded the trailer for the new Resident Evil 5 game coming out soon, I was crazy pumped. It takes place in Africa and looks freaking incredible. I can’t even describe how fun this game looks.
The entire time I was watching the trailer I didn’t even think once to myself “Wait… all the enemies he’s shooting are black”.
I didn’t even realize it was such a problem until today when I jumped on the internet and started just poking around for additional info for the game (nerd), when I stumbled upon all this racist B.S.
Alot of people are real upset that the new game takes place in Africa, and the main character, who is white, is fighting black people. Umm… who the F cares?
There has been like 4,000 Resident Evil games. I’m GLAD the new one is in Africa. I’m tired of fighting these things in mansions and in cities. The last game took place in Spain. You spent the ENTIRE game killing Spaniards. What about other video game series? Why didn’t anyone cry when the main character, whose Black, in Grand Theft Auto blew away all those white enemies?
The only people who are going to bitch about this are the ones who don’t like video games, or know the story behind this series. It’s an obvious progression in the series’ story, but people don’t see that. They see a white person shooting black people. Don’t you think it’s a bit racist to see this trailer, and instead of seeing the game for what it is, misconstrue the whole idea in the first place? Some peoples’ kids.
If ANYTHING, it’s racist against zombies.
This year’s hottest games right on your computer!

The other day I was combing over some old stuff and came upon all these games that I used to make. If you’re bored, try some of them out.
The Mexican Taco Nightmare - In this INTENSE fighting game, join Doug Dickens (the Lead singer of the INTENSE band Doughnuts in November) as he fights his way to El Diablo. Is his taco powers strong enough to defeat the lord of the underworld? Play and find out!
Black Friday - in the INTENSE action game, lead your shopper through crowded mall on the day after thanksgiving. Will he be able to complete all his shopping? Or will be trampled by fellow shoppers looking for a discount?
Excite Bike II - in the INTENSE sequal to the popular game, Excite Bike, try to break the world record for the longest wheelie in existance! But be careful! Aliens and falling meteors want you dead!
Wisconsin Zombie Babies - in the INTENSE action / fighting / shooting / puzzle game, you must fight survive the hoards of zombie babies that have overtaken your town and figure out a way to get rid of them. More action than you can shake a stick at! The toughest fighting this side of the Mississippi! White knuckle shooting! If you can find harder puzzles in a game I’ll eat my hat!
Gary Yukon: Freestyle Walker - in this INTENSE sports game, lead Gary Yukon, professional freestyle walker around town busting out the SICKEST tricks anyone has ever seen! Don’t get to crazy though or Gary will biff it so hard!
Alien Massacre VII - in this INTENSE high score shooting game, guide your ship through the hordes of alien invaders. Take out as many as you can before your ship gets gobbled up by the onslaught!
John Wamsley: Flying Beer Boogaloo - in this INTENSE action game, guide the drunk John through the clouds in his flying car while he bites the heads of beer bats. Carefull though, or that no talent assclown Kelly Osbourne will ruin everything!
Wiitis!!
Published by June 15th, 2007 in Uncategorized, culture, lifestyle, technology, Video Games, Wiitis and Nintendo. 0 CommentsDr. Mario is about to be working overtime. It seems like more and more people are going to the doctors with cases of “wow I moved for the first time in months and now I’m sore”… I mean “Wiitis”.
Now that Nintendo’s new game system , the Wii, actually requires you to move your body to play the games, thousands of lazy kids across the country are pulling muscles or cramping up from hours of trying to save the princess.
Doesn’t anyone remember the Nintendo power glove, or the running mat? Do you remember anyone crying about using them? Kids today are too soft! If I even invent a video game system, it will involve headbutting a giant metal gong to push the jump button, and you will have to pull a lever that punches you in the face if you want to beat the level.
We Hate Glue
Published by June 12th, 2007 in Fun, Illustrator, culture, lifestyle, exhibits, street art, graffiti, Community, Advertising, Country, Video Games and Design. 2 CommentsWe Hate Glue, an art exhibit / contest in Barcelona Spain, has showcased over 250 submissions from around the world all centering on an arcade machine. Artists from all over sent their take on an oldschool arcade unit, and all 250 submissions can be viewed right on their website, which is http://www.marrsbar.net/. You’ll want to check out my buddy John Paul’s entries, which are toward the bottom of the list of entries. It was a pretty good idea for a show, and although the exhibit / contest is over, I’m glad they kept the template to make one on their site. I want to relieve my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 dreams from when I was a wee lad.
Jesus demands money for virtual tour of his crib

Sony has been called irresonsible for using the Manchester Church in England without their permission.
The church of England is claiming sony didn’t asked permission for using the church in the PS3 game “Resistance: Fall of Man”, and is demanding a public appology and a large donation.
They’re angry because at one point in the game, there is a shootout where 100’s of people die inside the cathedral. It’s actually a pretty decent part of the game in my opinion.
The reason they are making such a big deal about all of this is because Manchester is known for it’s history of gun crime, and the tens of thousands that have died there due to firearms.
