Everyone Loves Oral

Here’s another hot tip from my brain I’m sharing w/ all you hard working freelancers out there.

It seems in my research, I’ve discovered you’ll do better with people if you actually talk to them over the phone versus busting them a fly email. Now, of course, face to face is the best medicine, but this tip applies to when it’s impossi-bull to meet them in real life.

The best way to go about this is to simply offer to call them to discuss business. Just let them know it’d be easier to discuss matters over the phone and ask for their number. You can offer yours and ask them to call you, but research shows (my research) that they’ll almost never call. BUT, they will answer when you call them.

It seems like common knowledge, but it took over a year for an idiot like me to realize this so I thought I’d share.

Free punk show at bowling alley is a real “slam dunk”

Two weeks ago when my band, Doughnuts in November, robbed a laundymat to help fund a bus trip to Vermont to see the 5th annual beard and moustache competition we never thought we would get caught.

Having pockets full of all those heavy quarters proved to be a bad idea as the police nabbed us only fifteen feet out of the door. Nothing says embarrising like having your pants fall down in front of a gang of old women and your hands cuffed behind your back.

Due to a loophole in the system however, we managed to get off with only 45 minutes of community service. We will all be serving our musical sentence tomorrow night, Friday the 4th at the Shefield Bowling Alley in Aliquippa PA. My band will preforming around 10:00PM in the eastern time zone. Come out and see 5 grown men in masks singing songs about fat girls and dinosaurs.

I’ve had an I-Mac for almost a week. A better performance I did seek. Crashes, freezing, and shut downs are a thing of the past. I can finally surf the net w/out being kicked off at last. My mouse’s click wheel also scrolls from the left to right, so I can navigate poorly design myspace pages all night. I have a desktop pop up that alerts me to new mail. It truly succeeds where my old PC did fail.

Some of you might be thinking, You can have email alerts and a mouse wheel that scrolls left and right on a PC too. Well on a Mac they come standard moron, so go eat a brick and F U.

If I had to compare my IMac to a food, I’d probably say a cheese stick. You don’t really eat them to often, but when you do it’s always a kick. Also, the fun factor (due to peeling off the cheese) makes the overall experience worthwhile. I’ll be rockin’ my Imac for quite awhile.

Here is a recipe for my favorite chili. I literally make a big pot of it every week, I just cant get enough. its easy and inexpensive to make and it will keep the men coming back for more! It’s HOT, literally!!

Ingreds:

One 28 oz can diced tomatoes

One 15 oz can black beans

One 15 oz can light kidney beans

One 15 oz can of chili beans

One packet of chili mix (McCormick or other)

1.0-1.22 lbs of ground turkey meat

Steps:

1.) Brown the meat in a skillet.

2.) Add the chili season packet and stir.

3.) Transfer the meat to a chili cooking pot.

4.) Add the diced tomatoes, 3 cans of beans and stir. Add entire contents of each can, water and all!

5.) Turn the heat up to about medium-high, you want to simmer this for about 15 min.

6.) After the liquid cooked down a bit, removed from heat.

7.) Let cool, add some grated cheese and tortilla chips if desired, serve, and enjoy!
