Well it’s that time again. Every four years we get to celebrate Quantum Leap Year, and today’s the day my friends.
All month long good boys and girls have been learning their black history, in hopes that Scott Bakula will leap into their bodies and right the wrongs, hoping that his next leap is the leap home.

Tara McPherson is not only a very talented artist, having worked for Vertigo Comics and Kid Robot, but apparently she’s good at giving advice out to up and comic artists as well.
On here website, TaraMcPherson.com, she goes into great detail about how she started out and gives allot of good pointers. All of this can be found on the second part of her info page here. Be sure to poke around her site too and check out her amazing work.
In other news..
Hey music fans… If you go out and buy the Re-release of “For Those Who Have Heart” by A Day to Remember, you might just notice a great photo of one of my Tee Designs right smack dab on the inside cover. I had a chance to meet with these guys over the weekend. Look for some big projects coming from us in the extremely near future. They’re growing in popularity quickly due to their cover song, Since You’ve Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson. Look it up on myspace, it’s great.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut is coming to the Harris Theatre downtown the weekend of March 7th thru the 13th. I will be there to experience the glory of one of the best sci-fi films ever. Granted I bought the limited edition suitcase with the final cut of Blade Runner inside.. but seeing it on the big screen is a must. Be there or be square nerds.

I’ve been reading a couple articles how young people are communicating less and less in real life and more on the computer. Since everyone is spending more time alone, they’re also hurting the music scene in a way. If you don’t hang out with your friends, you can’t be in a band.
However, there sure are allot of techno computer dance one man bands popping up on myspace. I think this kind of music is going to be the next big thing. Grunge, Punk, Pop, Pop Punk, Hardcore, and now Repetitive loops.
You know who had repetitive loops first? Nintendo.
I’m not sure what kind of program this people are using to make these songs, but I’ve been working on one. I call it “No Dankin’s Required”. Let me know what you think

Yea. That shit’s copywrited too so don’t even think about it.

I am wrapping up a project where I will be distributing at least 500 5 page comics for free. These will be given out at my art shows, stores in downtown Pittsburgh, or anywhere I can drop a couple off.I am looking for Clothing Companies, Bands, Blogs, or anyone else that needs promotion to help fund this project. What you will get in return is this:
On the last page of the mini comic (page 5), there will be half a page where I will have a “brought to you by” section. This is where your website address, myspace, or whatever would be listed, as well as a logo if you have one.
I am prepared to pay for 500 of these comics to be made out of my pocket. However, any additional money I recieve will be put into making MORE than the 500 comics.
I am asking for $5.25 per add. This money can be sent through paypal only, as I plan on getting these things made this weekend. The extra quarter is to cover paypal’s stupid fees.
For $5.25 your getting your advertisement on my 500 comics, PLUS the extra comics that your $5 is paying for.
If your interested, please send me comment on here or email me at gondek@mattgondek.com. My paypal account is “gondek@mattgondek.com” Please respond by Friday night, as I’ll be getting these printed on Saturday the 23rd.
As of writing this, I still have 4 spaces available.

Magmo is here to help. Magmo is here to destroy. Destroy pollution, greed, poor healthcare, trans-fats. Pretty much anything that destroys us. He’s an artist w/ a message in his work, which is apparent on his website http://www.magmothedestroyer.org/. Even if you could care less about the environment, I guarentee that you’ve never seen anything like his work. It’s truly unique.
He had a show here in Pittsburgh last summer, so hop in your time machine, and check that out too!

I recently recieved the fifth season of my favorite TV show on DVD as a gift. Although this season is good / funny overall, you can tell that these episodes were made during the production of the movie. Two episodes are based on the feature film itself, and a couple of the others seem rushed, and not as well planned out as past seasons.
Still, the good outweighs the not so good. Highlights include meatwad’s dog that constantly rapes their neighbor Carl, Shake’s son, and an entire episode that promotes Boost Mobile.
The DVD’s themselves are pretty good. All the menus are sung and the special features are funny. There is a music video, deleted scenes, and allot of stuff dealing with the movie. The only special feature I didn’t like was called “Learn to Shred Like the Master” which is just two minutes of some dude playing guitar.
Also, the DVD comes with stickers, which is an A+ on my book. You should go out and pick this DVD up as fast as possible. But, if you don’t own the earlier seasons (especially three), I recommend going and getting them first.
